Bahrain Post Issues Stamps to Commemorate the FIFA World Cup 2014

The Ministry of Transportation’s Bahrain Post has issued three commemorative stamps, crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa

The Ministry of Transportation’s Bahrain Post has issued three commemorative stamps, crowned with the portrait of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain to commemorate the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Brazil from 12 June to 13 July 2014. It will be the 20th edition of the FIFA World Cup and the second time that Brazil hosts the competition. With 31 countries participating following qualification matches that started in June 2011, a total of 64 matches will be played during the World Cup. The matches are scheduled to be played in 12 cities across Brazil in either new or redeveloped stadiums.

The stamps are available in 200 fils, 250 fils, 300 fils, denominations and a first day cover at BD 1. The stamps are available at all Bahrain Post branches.
