Bus Services

It is the aim of the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications to provide an effective and efficient public transport in Bahrain that is attractive to all sections of the society, with high quality operating standards and customer service.

The Ministry has developed a strategic plan that aims to provide the best public transport services which include increasing the coverage of the bus. The Ministry has been developing the bus services for over three years by upgrading the bus fleet and by hiring a new bus operator  Bahrain Public Transport Company) which  is a joint venture between National Express and Ahmed Mansoor Al A'ali (AMA) in order provide a higher level public transport services with a higher coverage. The Ministry in cooperation with the operator is also working on marketing campaigns to enhance the public to use the public buses. The coverage of the bus network is about 77% of the inhabited areas where the monthly number of passengers is about one million.In cooperation with the Bahrain Public Transport Company, the Ministry conducts a comprehensive periodic study on the public transport routes where the service is evaluated, in addition to the study of the inclusion of all requests by the users of the services or through requests from the municipal councils.Please visit the below  link for the latest bus route  updates: https://bahrainbus.bh/en/route-map/all-routes
