Minister of Transportation Receives Bahrain Airport Company Chairman and New Chief Executive Officer

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation, Mr. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, yesterday received in his office the Chairman of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC)

The Kingdom of Bahrain’s Minister of Transportation, Mr. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, yesterday received in his office the Chairman of Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi who introduced the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of BAC, Mr. Mohamed Yusuf Al Binfalah.

During the meeting, the Minister of Transportation praised the efforts made by BAC to further develop the facilities and infrastructure of the Bahrain International Airport, as well as the work done to maintain the reputation gained by the airport over the past years. His Excellency also emphasized the importance of retaining national talent at the airport, and focusing on human resources as a means to develop performance and raise both national knowledge and practical capabilities in line with the growth of the aviation sector.

His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of supporting the Government’s initiatives and plans to further develop the airport while ensuring the provision of the best solutions and alternatives for travelers and airlines. These efforts fall in line with the Kingdom’s reputation and long-standing history in growing and developing the aviation industry. His Excellency wished Mr Al Binfalah all the success in his new position.

Endorsing the Minister’s praise, Mr. Khalid Al Rumaihi, Chairman of BAC, commended the Minster of Transportation’s efforts in developing the aviation sector in the Kingdom and provided a brief presentation on the main upcoming projects that will be implemented by BAC. He stressed the importance of maintaining close coordination with Civil Aviation Affairs on Bahrain International Airport’s future plans that aim at raising operational performance and efficiency to achieve nationals’ and residents’ aspirations as well as the needs of airline companies in the coming years.
