November 2013 was same as Long-term normal in temperatures with below average relative humidities and wind speed and above average rainfall.

The mean temperature of the month was 24.3°C. This was same as the long-term normal for November. The mean maximum temperature of the month was 27.1°C.

The highest temperature recorded in the month was 32.1°C set on the 10th November due to a warm westerly to north westerly winds which dominated during that day.

During the month Bahrain had 7 days with maximum temperature exceeded 30°C.

The mean minimum temperature of the month was 21.6°C.

The lowest temperature recorded was 16.7°C set on the 21st November.

The mean relative humidity for November was 67%.

The mean maximum relative humidity was 80%. This goes on record as the sixth lowest mean monthly maximum relative humidity for November since 1955. This is same as November 1963, 1989 and 1993 and exceeded by November 2009, 2011 and 2012 which was 72%, November 2010 which was 73%, November 2002 and 2004 which was 77%, November 1992, 1994, 2001 and 2006 which was 78% and November 2008 which was 79%.

The mean minimum relative humidity for the month was 50%.

The month was wet with 6 rainy days accumulating 62.7 mm. Trace amount were recorded on the 4th. This goes on record as the sixth highest monthly total rainfall for November since 1902 and 17 times more than the long-term normal for November. The highest monthly rainfall ever recorded for November was 146.8 mm which occurred on November 1940.

Light rain was also reported at Isa Town on the 14th November.

The highest day with precipitation was 27.5 mm fell on the 20th November. An additional of 1.2 mm fell on the 16th, 4.8 mm fell on the 17th, 0.2 mm fell on the 18th, 14.2 mm fell on the 19th and 14.8 mm fell on the 21st November to make the total amount 62.7 mm.

Thunderstorms occurred on 4 days. Thunderstorms were reported at the airport on the 21st, the minimum visibility dropped to 300 metres due to Thundery showers which produced 14.8 mm with gusts to 38 knots at the airport. The intensity of rain was 0.84 mm/min from 04:20 to 04:35 LT with highest of 1.7 mm/min at 04:21 LT.

This unsettled weather occurred due to a deep upper trough with a cutoff cool pole has moved from the Mediterranean Sea towards Arabian Peninsula with a good feeding of warm and moist air at lower levels ahead of it, which leds the formation of clouds that produced the thundery showers over the kingdom.

Northwesterly winds accounted 53% of the observation with maximum wind speed reached 28 knots on the 19th November and gust reached 38 knots on the 21st November at the airport.

Fog affected the kingdom on the 30th November reduced the visibility to 500 meters at the airport.
