HE Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, received Varun Chandra, Chief Adviser to the Prime Minister for Business and Investment of the United Kingdom, and Tim Reid, Chief Executive of UK Export Finance, to discuss means to enhance bilateral cooperation in transport, telecommunications, and logistics.
The meeting reviewed opportunities for cooperation across several key sectors to support the implementation of development and strategic projects, and enhance investment and partnership between both sides. It also highlighted the importance of developing infrastructure and services that support economic growth and strengthen the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position as a regional hub for quality investment.
HE Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the UK in transport, telecommunications, and logistics, and to benefiting from expertise and financing solutions that support the implementation of development and strategic projects, contributing to sustainable development and enhancing Bahrain’s investment environment and competitiveness as a regional hub for investment, logistics, and telecommunications.
