Remote Inspection Service

License holders can now request the removal of recorded violations through remote inspection.

This service, provided by the Land Transport Monitoring and Enforcement Directorate, is applicable to cases requiring the rectification of violations identified during an initial on-site inspection which include violations related to:
-    Parking of vehicles, buses, trucks outside the designated yards.
-    Non-compliance with requirements for offices engaged in land transport activities.
-    Non-compliance with requirements for designated yards.

Steps to use the service:
- Book an appointment here by filling in the required details.
- Once the booking is confirmed, you will receive the appointment details (date and time), by email.
- The Land Transport Monitoring and Enforcement Directorate will review and accept the appointment request.
- At the scheduled time, join the session via Microsoft Teams to conduct the remote inspection. You must be present on-site to demonstrate the corrective actions taken to address the violations. If you do not join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, the appointment will be automatically canceled, and a new appointment must be booked.

How will I know if my appointment is confirmed?
Once the booking is confirmed, an email containing the appointment details (date and time) will be sent to you.

How is the remote inspection conducted?
At the scheduled time, the Directorate’s representative joins the inspection session via Microsoft Teams. You must be present on-site to demonstrate the corrective actions taken to address the violations.

What if I am late or cannot attend the remote inspection?
If you do not join the session within 10 minutes of the scheduled time, the appointment will be automatically canceled, and a new appointment must be booked.

Are there any technical requirements to participate in the remote inspection?
A portable device with Microsoft Teams installed and a stable internet connection is required, as the concerned representative will need to move easily between areas and locations to ensure the successful completion of the inspection.

Can platforms other than Microsoft Teams be used (e.g. Zoom, Whatsapp Video Call, etc)?
At present, remote inspections can only be conducted via Microsoft Teams.

Is there a cost or fee for using this service?
There are no associated fees for the service.

Can I cancel/reschedule an appointment?
Yes, appointments can be cancelled or rescheduled.

How long can the inspection take?
Inspection times may vary; however, the process typically takes around 30 minutes. It is recommended to allocate approximately one hour to complete the inspection.

How soon after the inspection will my license status be updated?
License’s status will be updated within the day.

Does this service apply to all types of land transport violations?
No, it is limited to violations identified during the initial on-site inspection for: vehicle/yards parking, office compliance, and yard compliance.
