Facilities
Industrial Private Jetties:
With over 30 licensed private jetties, Bahrain offers the necessary facilities for businesses relying on an accessible intermodal transportation network. These private jetties serve a variety of industries, including petrochemicals, manufacturing, marine services, construction, and shipping. Strategically located in Bahrain’s main industrial zones such as North Sitra Industrial Area, Mina Salman Industrial Area, Salman Industrial City, and Ras-Zuwayad, these jetties are ideally positioned to serve different industries while being conveniently accessible to major transportation points, ensuring smooth logistics and operations.
Passenger Transport Jetties:
The PMA is responsible for licensing and regulating all passenger transport jetties across the Kingdom. These facilities are located in popular tourist areas, including Bahrain Bay, Amwaj Islands, Manama, and Al Dar Islands, with a focus on maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for both passengers and infrastructure.
Licenses
Private jetty licenses are issued and regulated by the PMA and are valid for two years. To apply for a license, please access the SIJLAT system on www.sijlat.bh or to renew an existing license, please visit the Marasi portal here .

Regulation
In 2017, the PMA introduced new regulations governing the use and operation of private jetties. All license holders must comply with the PMA Licensing Resolution [PDF, 135 KB]. For full regulatory details, please visit the Laws and Regulations page.
Port Tariff

Inspections
To ensure compliance with national and international standards, the PMA conducts regular inspections of all private jetties.
