
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, met participants of the 11th cohort of the Prime Minister's Fellowship Programme, highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain's continued investment in developing national talent under the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
The minister said the programme reflects Bahrain's commitment to developing national talent by equipping participants with the knowledge, expertise and leadership skills needed to strengthen government performance and support sustainable development.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed reviewed the ministry's responsibilities, strategic projects and initiatives, the Civil Aviation Affairs strategy, and development plans across its sectors aimed at reinforcing Bahrain's position as a regional transport and logistics hub.
He wished the participants continued success in their careers, emphasising the importance of teamwork, innovation, excellence and responsibility in line with the "Team Bahrain" approach to serving the nation and achieving its aspirations.
On the sidelines of the visit, participants toured Bahrain International Airport, the Air Traffic Control Building, the Meteorological Directorate, Khalifa Bin Salman Port, the Postal Sorting Centre and the public transport bus depot, where they were briefed on the ministry's key projects, operational systems and services.
Participants expressed appreciation to the minister for the opportunity to learn about the ministry's responsibilities and strategic projects, noting that the visit enhanced their understanding of government practices and supported their professional development.
