Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa bin Duaij Al Khalifa, Assistant Undersecretary for Telecommunications at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, received David Dai, Vice President for ICT Solutions and Services in the Gulf Region, Wu Zi, the company's Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs in Huawei, to discuss ways to advance cooperation in digital infrastructure and telecommunications technologies.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Isa stressed the importance of partnerships with global technology leaders in supporting Bahrain’s ambitions to strengthen its position as a regional digital and connectivity hub.
The meeting focused on developments in next-generation telecommunications, particularly 5G-Advanced technology and its role in boosting network performance and enhancing infrastructure capabilities. The two sides also reviewed progress under the Sixth National Telecommunication Plan and exchanged views on priorities for the sector’s future development.
