Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, participated in the Conference and Exhibition for Digital Economy Technologies "Seamless Middle East 2025".
The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the United Arab Emirates, is taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from May 20 to 22.
The minister underscored the strong economic and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE, particularly in telecommunications, information technology, digital transformation, and logistics. He highlighted the progress achieved under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE.
He expressed appreciation for participating in this global technology and economic event, organised by the Arab Federation for Digital Economy and Terrapinn, with active involvement from the League of Arab States. He described it as an important platform for fostering partnerships between the public and private sectors and exchanging expertise among decision makers, entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators, contributing to comprehensive digital transformation and economic competitiveness.
The minister reviewed the latest technologies and innovations presented by over 750 exhibitors from global and regional companies, including Bahraini firms. He followed developments in digital payments, fintech, banking services, digital identity, e-commerce, delivery services, digital marketing, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed also held meetings with ministers, officials, investors, innovators, and representatives from both the public and private sectors, and attended key panel sessions. He emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to keeping up with technological advancements and enhancing economic and technological cooperation with partner countries in support of digital transformation and sustainable development.
