Fatima Abdulla Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Postal Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications, participated remotely in the 11th meeting of the GCC Railways Authority Council.
The meeting reviewed progress in implementing and operating the GCC railway project, as well as the findings of a study on its operational plan.
Discussions focused on the technical, regulatory and operational requirements needed to enhance the readiness and integration of the railway network across GCC countries.
Al Dhaen emphasised the importance of coordination and cooperation among GCC countries to complete the requirements for implementing the project, highlighting its strategic role in strengthening connectivity, facilitating passenger and freight transport, and advancing Gulf economic integration.
