The Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications has launched electronic boxes managed by Bahrain Post, reaffirming its commitment to advancing postal services and though innovate solutions that enhance operational efficiency and provide more convenient and flexible services for customers across the Kingdom.
HE Fatima Abdullah Al Dhaen, Undersecretary for Land Transport and Post Affairs affirmed that the service is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency and improve the quality of postal services in line with customer expectations. She noted that the service offers convenient and flexible options for parcel collection, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to services tailored to the needs of individuals and businesses.
Al Dhaen explained that the electronic boxes offer customers a secure and flexible way to receive parcels without being limited by fixed timings or the need to visit post offices. Customers are notified with a code which they can use to access the electronic box as per the location they selected, and they also have the option of having someone else to collect the parcel using the code.
The electronic boxes have been installed at key locations, including major shopping malls, enabling customers to collect parcels at their convenience, beyond official working hours, with safe storage ensured until collection.
The electronic boxes are available at Seef Mall (Seef District), Seef Mall (Muharraq), Seef Mall (Isa Town), Marassi Galleria, The Avenues, Souq Al Baraha, Dragon City, and Saar Mall, with further expansion planned in the coming period. Customers can access the electronic boxes during the operating hours of each facility.
The Ministry reiterated its commitment to developing a modern and integrated postal system that enhances service quality and operational efficiency, positioning Bahrain as a leading regional hub for postal and logistics services while fostering innovation and future readiness to achieve its strategic objectives.
