HE Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, confirmed the longstanding and distinguished relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which continue to advance across all areas, especially in transportation, communications, and logistics. This is under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
The Minister commended the directives of His Majesty the King regarding the progress of the King Hamad Causeway project linking the two Kingdoms. He said this project supports strategic partnership, sustainable development goals, and GCC cooperation, and that it will boost economic, logistical, and commercial integration and achieve the ambitious development visions of both sides.
He expressed pride in the progress of the economic and strategic partnership between the two kingdoms, under the initiatives of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia.
He extended congratulations to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, government, and people on the 95th National Saudi Day, wishing them continuous progress and prosperity. He confirmed that relations between the two countries and their peoples continue to develop, supported by a long history of partnership and close cooperation across all domains.
He also commended both countries’ commitment to implement the outcomes of the third Coordination Committee meeting in investment, environment, and infrastructure. They seek to enhance economic integration, especially in transportation, communications, logistics, and land, sea, and air connections. He highlighted key projects underway, such as establishing a Bahraini-Saudi building materials company and launching a commercial shipping line linking Khalifa bin Salman Port and King Abdulaziz Port in Dammam.
